Do you have to be a guest at the resort to eat at this restaurant??
Absolutely loved their buffet food, and waiter. The price was a little high for my book, but it was so worth the food and enjoyment. Found it nestled inside the Kalahari resort.
MoreWe go to the breakfast buffet whenever we come to Kalahari. It costs about $50 for the three of us, but the food is amazing, and as someone with Celiac disease, it's great to be able to go to a buffet without getting sick. We come as soon as they open.
MoreWent here for breakfast and it’s the worst food I ever had at a buffet the eggs we’re nasty, they serve frozen pancakes and French toast which are hard and cold and the bacon wasn’t cooked all the way and the list goes on. So don’t waste your money going here it’s not worth the $$$ that they charge.
MoreWide choice of breakfast to choose from including fresh juices and staff is very helpful.
MoreMost amazing breakfasts buffet I've ever had. Outstanding choices of high quality food. My kids loved it so much that when we said we were going back to the dells one year later, among their squeals, they called out highlights they were excited for including this buffet. Be sure to try the danish!
MoreExtremely dumb only open for breakfast buffet on weekday no diner its really stupid!!
MoreSuper nice staff and lots of variety. Delicious eggs Benedict
A breakfast buffet spread to rival the likings of those you'll find at top hotels in Vegas. Top notch quality and superb customer service. You don't want to miss this if you find yourself in the Dells.
MoreCan't wait to go back. Best breakfast in the dells
Food was dismal! Hot food was warm, cocktail shrimp was warm. Not a good experience especially for the price.
MoreWas really disappointed with small selection of food as well as the quality. It tasted like nothing was homemade. The only thing that was decent was the carved meat, which was very small portions, and the pizza, especially for $28 per plate. (This was the Christmas Eve dinner, not sure what the price normally is.) I have been to pricier buffets that we’re well worth it, but I felt this buffet was really only worth $10 per plate, if that.
MoreQuite possibly the best breakfast place in the Dells. Don't follow Google Maps directions or Waze to get there as you'll end up circling Kalahari. Enter through the main entrance of the resort.
MoreAbsolutely amazing food and the staff was great..definitely worth the price..
French toasts was hard, Eggs tasted rubbery and cold. Service for drinks really slow. Very disappointed. Day 2 started eating breakfast at Denny next door very good and cheaper. Also see alot of Kalahari wristbands.
MoreThe buffet breakfast here blew me away with endless and unique choices. Every bit as good as Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet at Disney world.
MoreThis is a buffet restaurant inside the resort. Good buffet food - our table only tried one thing we didn't like, and they had a good variety/selection. Buffet was $25 per adult.PS. Google incorrectly listed them as closed on the Tuesday we went.
MoreBad food. Poor selection. Expensive.
Excellent. Plenty of options even for the picky eater.
Food was absolutely delicious and amazing! There's something for everyone. Three of us in our family are vegetarian, and there was plenty for vegetarians to eat. Desserts were out of this world! It's a one price per person Buffet all-you-can-eat.
MoreBreakfast and Dinner was great here.
The quality of food at this buffet is at the upper end of buffets - very good food, really. The price is pretty typical of resort-buffets these days - that is to say inflated (in my opinion). The service - well - it's a buffet so there really isn't typically service but the service at Karoo was actually very pleasant. Worth a shot if you're in the area.
MoreWe go to this restaurant for their breakfast buffet every time we are there. Delicious! They have something for everyone.
MoreSince they revamped the menu several years ago the food is fabulous. The service is great and the staff are always willing to accommodate special requests.
MoreHave visited the great Karoo many times. Our servers have always pleasant, and the food is wonderful. Karoo has a wide variety of options.
MoreLove food however my favorite waitress Ruth is no longer there:(
The foods, terrible.... honeslty better off going to McDonald's. Not much to pick from, very small selection. Rated: F
MoreDont do what I did and trust the hours on this website. They will close it early if the restaurant is slow. Pick a time and stick to it Great Karoo.
MoreSuper cool
Food was OK. The price was extremely high for "OK" food. Would have expected better.
MoreThe server was super nice and food was fresh and delicious
The Great karoo had a very large selection of breakfast. The breakfast selection of the eggs, the fruit was a big selection. Everything was fresh. Couldn't decide up with the pics I took a little of everything. Keep up the good work will be back soon.
MoreAmazing service!!! I have a few dietary allergies so when I go out it is always a hassle. However, the chef Simeon was extremely helpful here and we were able to figure out a number of things I could have. If I could, I would give 11/10!
MoreGood variety on the buffet but the food in the buffet was average except for the chefs selection where you get a great selection of meats hand cut by a chef that tasted pretty good
MoreYou're in the Dells, so expect to splurge a little. If money is tight, I'd go elsewhere, but if you brought extra and want a nice meal, I really enjoyed this buffet! Food was great, desserts were excellent, and the waiter was extremely friendly!
MoreIf you are at Kalahari and considering where to go to eat, go to Great Karoo. It's worth it. When we were deciding on dinner, we opted for the Brew Pub. We paid way too much money for bad steak and odd appetizers. When it came time for breakfast, we changed course and went to the Great Karoo buffet. At first blush, it seemed a bit expensive. But it was well worth it! The food was amazing and they had every conceivable kind of food. My children are still talking about the fact that they had delicious, fresh cut prime rib for breakfast! They had stuffed French toast, chocolate chip pancakes, eggs Benedict, you name it! The service was phenomenal and they had a ton of food that appealed to kids (with smaller buffet stations so they could reach!). Our drinks were refreshed regularly and they constantly brought us new plates so we could try all of the delicious brunch offerings. I highly recommend this establishment!
MoreBest buffet I've had. Ate there both dinner and breakfast and both were amazing in both selection and quality
MoreLoved it. Very good food
So much good premium food!
Really the worst customer service. Very unclean tables. Bad customer service. We asked for a booth table and receptionist was not very welcoming. Extremely rude.
MoreThe absolute best buffet I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot with my family of 5! We had the breakfast buffet. There was something for everyone with a large variety of things to choose from. The bins in the warmers were smaller than those I usually see at buffet's, so they were constantly making more to keep everything fresh as well as the staff that closely watch over the dishes. I was very surprised by some of the selections that were offered. There was not one thing that my family got that they didn't like. Unfortunately they were not open for dinner while I visited, but I hope they will be for our next trip!
MoreGreat food and service!
Was so disappointed. It was very expensive and there wasn’t a lot of variety of food. And the food that they DID have was disgusting. French toast was hard and cold. Yogurt had a weird skin on top of it from sitting out so long. Pancakes tasted odd. Scrambled eggs were cold. Sausage was fine but too spicy for kids. Honestly the only thing my kids ended up eating much of was a bowl full of plain Cheerios! $32 for plain Cheerios and orange juice!! Ugh!! If you want a great breakfast, go to Mr. Pancake!
MoreFood was very high quality for a buffet and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Price is a little higher than most buffets but the food quality justifies it.
MoreGreat options and great atmosphere.
I really enjoyed this place eating with my family. Very expensive Buffet however the food is great and they have a very wide variety of choices to pick from. Overlooks the indoor water park.
MoreVery expensive for what you get. Most dishes were warm, not hot. Very good service. But very ove ed priced for mediocre food. Eat else where.
MoreAll you can eat garbage for $23. Poor quality all around. Please go to McDonald's instead. I did not die eating it, so two stars instead of one.
MoreCan't find the place, no signage. Called no answer. Called another hotel number and finally hung up after 5 minutes of waiting on hold in the middle of a winter Wednesday.
MoreGreat food and great selection. Will definitely come again next time I'm in town. Definitely worth the price. Staff was extremely friendly S well.
